Wednesday, January 22, 2020 — NIAGARA – The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced today that it has extended its partnership with Betcris , a global leader in online sports betting and casino games, into 2020. The league will provide Betcris with real-time scores, game statistics, previews and player data via FIBA LiveStats throughout the 2020 season to help set up immersive betting features on their platforms for fans across the world.

The CEBL is the only pro men’s basketball league in the world that runs during spring and summer, featuring world-class professional basketball in a fan-friendly entertainment environment across seven cities in Canada.
In its upcoming second season, the Ottawa BlackJacks will join the six-team single entity ownership league that launched in 2019, increasing the number of regular season games from 60 to 75.
This will be followed by a new CEBL playoff format that will include six of the seven teams, culminating in the 2020 Championship Weekend being hosted by Edmonton, home to the Edmonton Stingers.
Beginning this season, CBC Sports will offer live streams of all 75 regular season CEBL games and its five playoff contests, after CEBL and CBC signed a three-year partnership in November of last year. The public broadcaster became the premier media partner of Canada’s only First Division Professional Basketball League.
CBC will also provide broadcast coverage of seven regular season games and the CEBL Championship Weekend in Edmonton, which showcases the league’s best four teams to fans and sponsors. The CEBL is Canada’s only major sports league hosting an annual summertime celebration of sport, history, tourism, culture and music.
