Alliance Sign Veteran Canadian Guard Duvivier
Experienced Toronto native brings scoring punch and leadership to Montréal
The Montréal Alliance is proud to announce the signing of guard Malcolm Duvivier for the 2025 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season. The 6’2” Toronto native joins the Alliance after an impressive six-year professional career spanning multiple leagues in Canada and Europe. Most recently with the Calgary Surge, Duvivier averaged 9.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 19.2 minutes across 21 games during the 2024 season.
“Malcolm brings experience and proven scoring ability to our backcourt,” said Joel Anthony, General Manager and co-owner of the Alliance. “His track record of success in the CEBL and professional mindset align perfectly with the culture we’re continuing to build here in Montréal.”
Duvivier arrives in Montréal with extensive CEBL experience, having played four seasons with the Vancouver Bandits before his time with Calgary. He currently ranks 10th in CEBL history for total minutes played, 18th for total points, and seventh for total three-pointers made.
Known for his scoring ability and three-point shooting, Duvivier recorded multiple standout performances last season, including a 21-point outing against Winnipeg and 20 points against Vancouver. His professional career has also taken him to Finland’s Tapiolan Honka, where he averaged 15.4 points and 3.8 assists, and to France’s Hermine Nantes Atlantique.

He’s established himself as one of the most reliable outside threats in CEBL history, and his competitive fire will elevate everyone around him.”

Before turning professional, Duvivier enjoyed an accomplished collegiate career at Oregon State University (2013-2016) and Akron University (2017-2018). At Oregon State, he was part of the historic 2015-16 team that reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1990 and earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition. As a sophomore, he averaged 10.7 points and 3.5 assists per game, ranking among the conference leaders in multiple categories. At Akron, he elevated his scoring to 14.3 points per game as a graduate student, including a career-high 27 points against Kent State.
The upcoming 2025 season will be the longest in CEBL history with each team playing 24 regular season games, including 12 home contests for the Alliance at the Verdun Auditorium and IGA Stadium. The Alliance will play its home opener on May 18 against the Brampton Honey Badgers.
