Montreal Announces Complete 2025 Training Camp Roster
16 players to join the team at Verdun Auditorium from May 10-17

The Montréal Alliance has today unveiled its official roster for the 2025 training camp presented by Electrolit, which will be held from May 10 to 17 at Verdun Auditorium. A group of 16 players, combining established talents, promising newcomers, and two local recruits announced for the first time, will compete for a spot in the team’s final lineup for the 2025 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season.
“We are looking forward to having this team finally together. We have a great mix of youth, size and talent that will be extremely competitive this summer,” said Joel Anthony, General Manager and co-owner of the Alliance. “This training camp represents a crucial step in establishing the foundation for what promises to be an exciting season.”
The 2025 training camp will see the return of Montréal point guard
Alain Louis, the only player to have participated in all of the team’s seasons since its inaugural campaign in 2022. The two time People’s Champion brings his defensive specialty and invaluable leadership to the team for a fourth consecutive season.
Forward
Anthony Walker is set to be a major addition for the Alliance this season. The 6’9” Baltimore native comes to camp after an impressive 2024-25 campaign with Beroe in Bulgaria’s top division, where he averaged 22.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. A former player with the Miami Hurricanes, with whom he reached the NCAA Tournament Final Four in 2023, and the Indiana Hoosiers, Walker brings rare versatility on both ends of the floor and high-level experience that should make him a central element in the Alliance’s system.
Quincy Guerrier, a Montréal native, is participating in his first camp with the Alliance after signing with the Alliance in April in a landmark acquisition for the franchise. The 6’8” forward brings his experience from the NBA G League with the Raptors 905 and his versatility demonstrated at the highest level of American college basketball with Syracuse, Oregon, and Illinois.
The first overall pick in the 2025 CEBL Draft,
Sultan Haider Bhatti, will also join the team for his first professional training camp. The 6’4” guard/forward from Montréal returns to his hometown after a dominant university career with the Brandon University Bobcats, where he averaged 20.4 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in his final season.
Center
Dontay Bassett (6’9”) is among the Alliance’s promising new interior acquisitions. The former University of Florida and Weber State player recently stood out in Sweden, averaging 16.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. Known for his offensive efficiency and defensive presence, Bassett is expected to bring an additional athletic dimension to the team’s interior rotation.
To complete the training camp roster, the Alliance has also invited two local players, Blondeau Tchoukuiegno and
Nate Tshimanga, to participate in the sessions.
The complete training camp roster also includes
Tavis “Pistol” Smith (guard, 6’3”),
Malcolm Duvivier
(guard, 6’2”),
Michael Diggins Jr.
(forward, 6’9”), draft picks
Liam Rietschin (center, 6’11”) and
Jaheem Joseph (guard, 6’5”), Canadian center
Ben Stevens (6’10”),
Abdul Mohamed (forward, 6’7”),
Kevin Osawe
(forward, 6’7”), and
Abdullah Shittu
(forward, 6’8”).
The 2025 training camp presented by Electrolit will take place at Verdun Auditorium from May 10 to 17, ahead of the Alliance’s home opener on May 18 against the Brampton Honey Badgers.
The 2025 season will be the longest in CEBL history, with each team playing 24 regular season games, including 12 home games for the Alliance at Verdun Auditorium and IGA Stadium.
As part of a historic event, the Alliance will also host Canada’s first-ever professional 5-on-5 outdoor basketball game at IGA Stadium on May 23. The event, titled Éclipse : Match sous les étoiles, offers fans a unique opportunity to experience professional basketball under the open sky. Tickets are available starting at $25 on
