Shooting Stars Sign Local Guard Elvis
Canadian guard signs first pro contract after finishing their collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma

The Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Friday that they have signed Brampton native Kobe Elvis.
The 6-foot-1 guard played his rookie season at DePaul University before transferring to the University of Dayton and completed his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma. Elvis averaged 7.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 23.6 minutes per game through 34 games with the University of Oklahoma.
Elvis joins 2025 CEBL Draft picks David Walker, Koat Thomas and Samuel Wong on Scarborough’s 2025 roster.
The Scarborough Shooting Stars will kick off their 2025 season on Sunday May 25 at CAA Centre against the Brampton Honey Badgers. Scarborough will then host the Ottawa BlackJacks at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre for their first home game on Tuesday May 27.
