The Canadian Elite Basketball League (“CEBL”) announced Thursday that it has reached an agreement on a partnership with Betcris, a leader in online sports betting and casino games.

The CEBL opens its inaugural season in May with franchises in Niagara (St. Catharines), Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), Fraser Valley (Abbotsford), Guelph, Hamilton, and Edmonton. CEBL rosters will be predominantly comprised of Canadians playing professionally during the traditional basketball season, as well as a limited number of international and U Sports players.
